how I long for you to sing beneath the clear blue skies

I love rerun of old movies! But anyway, right now Channel 5 is screening Runaway bride starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.

I remembered back then when I watched it on DVD, I enjoyed it so much although I know it's not a sequeal to Pretty Woman but it's still great. It got me thinking, you know, marriage is such.. a big thing. It's such a big thing to a man, it's an even bigger thing to a woman. It has to be perfect. It doesnt have to be with the perfect person, but the wedding has. to. be. perfect.

I loved the part where Maggie (Roberts) was anxiously thinking if Graham would run away instead of her, how she constantly reminded herself about the wedding.. how she really can do this on her own. But she still couldn't anyway. Sometimes you're just scared. You're just afraid to do the right thing.

Maggie Carpenter: I love you, Homer Eisenhower Graham.
Will you marry me?
Ike Graham: I... I've got to think about this a little bit.
Maggie Carpenter: Good. I was hoping you'd say that.
Ike Graham: [laughing] You were not!
Maggie Carpenter: I was, because if you said "yes" right away, then I wouldn't get to say this next part, and I've been practicing. [Maggie sits down, clears her throat]
Maggie Carpenter: Ready?
Ike Graham: I'm listening.
Maggie Carpenter: I guarantee there'll be tough times. I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us is going to want get out. But I also guarantee... [starts to cry]
Maggie Carpenter: ...that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life. Because I know in my heart... you're the only one for me.

At my future wedding, I know I'd be happy and scared at the same time. And I know sometimes I run away from things because I'm messed up. But I hope, the person I'll be marrying would love me for me and want to be with me for the rest of his life.. and of course, love all my bestfriends, be ok with them sleeping over sometimes, we'll probably be talking till 3am.. But I can be very sure, I won't run away unless you're running away with me.

You make my heart beat double time

My experience with our latest tourist attraction.. ION, has been pretty fruitful, though I'm not so great with huge, huge places.

I've to mention the queue down at ION ORCHARD FOOD HALL (in B4) is.. insane. I've added 'Conquering all the Food Stalls at ION ORCHARD' onto my To-Do list.

Tsukiji Gindaco (#B4-64)

If you love Takoyaki, you'll LOVE LOVE this. In any case you don't know what does Takoyaki stands for, it's octopus balls. You see this in malls, at Pasar Malams, Singaporeans queue for it! Because it's such great comfort food. It's crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. Yum.

This stall at ION ORCHARD, just tastes different from the usual takoyaki balls you get else where. Before I explain further why, I've to tell you how amazed I was with the people frying em' balls! They're like a freaking... takoyaki machine! They're so quick and at some point, rhythmic!

But anyway, here's my check list for the balls I bought ;]

1. Crispy on the outside - CHECK! (I've to special mention this though, I don't know if you've get the experience of eating takoyaki balls and it's soft inside out in most places? Sometimes it could be because they've got so many orders, they don't make sure it's crispy on the outside? But rest assured, you'll get your balls perfectly crispy on the outside for this one. Hee.)
2. Soft and hot (NOT WARM) on the inside - CHECK!
3. No funny smell from Mayo sauce - CHECK!

It comes in a good portion of 6 pieces for $4.80, you can get a set for 1 for $6, that comes with a drink or icecream.

I've a feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night

UP

You can always trust Pixar to come up with something good, each time they deliver. The short wordless prelude to the movie about how Carl and Ellie fell in love, got married, keep the house, had a miscarriage and till Ellie had her last breath, you can't help but feel the pain of lost the same way Carl did.

The adventure of Russel, Carl, Doug and Kevin (the sniper) brought us all on an adventure like never before. I admire Russel's Never-say-die Attitude as a Wilderness Scout, he reminded me how we lost this childliked-ness along the way while growing up.

I laughed and I cried. I don't remember when was the last time I felt this good stepping out of the Theatre.

Go watch it if you haven't. It's out this week!

Nicole Richie's pea in the poo

Ok yes, hey guys I'm back blogging. Or at least I try to when I've free time. But don't count on it! Really.

So anyway, fresh from Nicole Richie's Twitter (follow her! she posts cute pictures of her baby girl Harlow!), Richie's new Maternity Line for A Pea in the Poo, is shaking away from all the bad light to Super Hot Mama! I adore the bohemian-themed outfits! They look so chic and wearable. Whoever said you can't look fab with a baby hidden under your tummy?

Look at the prints? I think this shade of green would look great on any skin color. I mean, look at the details. It's no longer boring and conventional. No frills or bib looking collars. Just prints and more prints. Being pregnant herself, Nicole commented that when you're pregnant, you feel like you need to revamp your whole wardrobe and that's the last thing a woman would want to go through. Her designs are catered to make pregnant women feel excited about dressing up, look good and at the same time be confident about their body.

You notice how her designs are never too loud or understated? And can I mention again how comfy it looks to me?

Looks like, Marriage has really done Nicole Richie some good. Look at all the weight she gained back after pregnancy! She looks great and healthy. This is where I believe Love help change someone, for the better.

Alright, I'm off to bed now.
Speak soon. xx
