NYE 2010

So, in a few hours time I'll be counting down with a huge bunch of random strangers at the Barrage with fireworks and a lot of beer. Ok, fact: I'll be working my ass off on NYE.

I know what's my ideal NYE plan...........

- Dinner at my favorite sushi place
- Curl up at home with a good book
- Watch reruns of favorite old movies
- Board games with my girls
- Cuddle up with A

Sadly, none of that is going to happen

Have a good time receiving the new year, people.

I'm done making NY resolutions for 2010 because whatever resolutions I made in 09 didn't happen.

You know you have all my love. :)

What Men Want

It’s easy to talk about these types of things in absolutes. Easier than to admit that I don’t know, some men themselves don’t know, that individuals are not quantifiable items like red bricks or jars of beans.

So honestly, I don't know what Men want. Do you?

I can never be the ideal kinda girl. I have cellulite. I snore when I sleep. I laugh way too loud. I misinterpret things I don't understand. I don't know what to say at the right time. I laugh at you in the face when you got your heart broken. I can never be your ideal kind of girl.

These absolutes really boggle me to the skull of my brain. I try not to let them get anywhere near my heart, not even the left wall. Everyday we wake up trying to be someone else. Someone people would approve of. Someone people would understand. Someone people would like.

Today I painted my left big toe a total different shade of red unlike the rest and only on the top (because it fricken chipped!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Would a man like that in a woman? The randomness, the inconsistency, the irregularities, the fuck ups...

Anyway, have a good Tuesday.
You know you have all my love because you're still reading.

We can hold a lot of ideas. We can hold a lot of grief. We can wonder if our lives might contain that other thing, just for a moment. Thought is the wrong word. Thought implies intention, which it should not.

Random Monday

So. There's this boy.

He probably doesn't know that I feel all warm and fuzzy when he's around.

He probably doesn't know I make mental notes of anything he's said before.

Do you still remember your first kiss?

Do you still remember the first time his hands wrapped around your waist and you felt like you had the world at your feet, as though you can achieve anything in the world?

It happened on the escalator as we first held hands and I was too shy to look him in the eye. That boy was beautiful. He was possibly one of the most beautiful people I've met. At least, that was how I felt back then. It wasn't that kind of love. It wasn't that 'till death do us part' kind of love. It wasn't any of those dramatic, gun shots, broken tear glands kind of love. It was a simple love. I simply just liked liking him. Apart from being beautiful, he was also funny. The kind of boy to pull heart strings.

It was on the long escalator we first held hands. I was way too shy to him in the eye. I remembered clearly he still had his school uniform on and I also remembered how cute he looked. I liked the feeling of my hands in his. He didnt have particularly huge hands. It was just big enough to hold mine.

It was on the long escalator we first held hands. This time I turned to look at him in the eye. I realize he was just as shy. He leaned closer pulling me closer.

"Can I kiss you?", he asked blushing.

My cheeks were burning hot. He moved a little closer and planted a peck on my trembling lips. That was when I gave my heart away. Completely.

I remembered it was on the long escalator we first held hands.

That's how my first kiss felt like.
Giving myself away completely to someone who used to be a stranger.
Wherever you are, I missed you.

Anyway, since I'm sleepless right now, I decided to do a LIST. Yes, a list.

This is, er, a list of things I'm going to do when I'm at BKK. Yes! The trip is finally offcial! It's coming true! Can you imagine the amount of shopping? I can't.

Anyway, back to the list. I'm getting to it, RIGHT NOW.

  6. See ladyboys! Don't ask me to go Changi. I want real, real, real ladyboys from thaithaithailand!
  7. And at the bottom of the list - Sight-seeing. Who does that in BKK, anyway?
See, a list.
Okay, I think this is working. I'm feeling a little sleepy right now. I'm going to try lie down now.........

Somebody to love

Dinner with Ally today was good. It was impromptu but good.

We talked about lots of stuff - Work, recent happenings, mutual friends, boyfriends, other people's boyfriends/love lives... we never run out of topic. As I chew on my plate of Caesar Salad, I'm thankful for girlfriends like her who doesn't judge me, demand, expect anything from me. Afterall, there are only so many people you can rely on. Don't call me a cynic, I'm guarded by most people, because I think they're always out to take something away from you.

I've friends like that. In fact they're all around me. They just keep taking. And taking. When I say take, I don't mean physical objects like money or sexual favours, but intangible items like love, time and trust. These things can't be seen or touched but they can be felt. Every single day I wonder about the things I've been taken away of. Sometimes I try not to think about it but my mind wander off to the dark side again. They have cookies.

And sometimes, they take pieces of my heart too. To those who are guilty, please return them to its rightful owner, ie: Me.

Somehow when people steal, unknowingly or knowingly (it doesn't matter because they're still thieves), a little part of you just fades away. A part of me believe we're all made up of many, many wires. They're connected together like connecting dots on a drawing book. When people take something away from you, one wire shuts down and it no longer works. It can be fixed but even if it does, it doesn't light up as bright anymore.

Photobucket

I'm tired, I'm turning in. Good night.

PS: My pants came in the mailbox today. As usual, I look fat in them.

Sorry, I can't love you today,
April

Can you handle what he's about to do?

Don't expect Adam Lambert to be your kids' next role model, folks.

Lambert's recent raunchy and controversial performance at the AMA has raised a lot of eye brows and many tongues are wagging. Being openly gay, Lambert is not planning to tone down. He mentioned to the press that there are so many female raunchy acts but when a guy does it, people talk. If you havent heard or seen, during the performance, Lambert had some oral sex dance movements/expressions, grabbed his crotch and also kissed a male backup singer on stage.

Well, I can only say one thing - it's just not so easy being a celebrity anymore. *taps finger on table* It's no longer just about the vocal capabilities, it's also about what you can bring to the stage. The WOW factor. Stars like Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert stood out like sore thumbs not just because they openly discuss about their sexuality but they bring a different element to the stage. They're both great singers but their showmanship is even better. Every time they're on stage, they either make you drop your jaws in a good way or a bad way. There will be no room for awkward stares and painful yawns.

Is Adam Lambert the Male Lady Gaga? If yes, I think we can handle both. ;)

My take on the performance is simple. Performers are encouraged to be more creative with their moves and act. Lambert shouldn't be slammed for a creative performance (admit it guys, you enjoyed it), what more he was having a great time? That's how a performer should be, enjoying the short 3 minutes of fame on stage. If people will eventually forget it, why not create something that people will never forget? Well, to parents, if you're worried your kids may be led astray and taught the wrong values, don't expose them to TV. Better still, blind them! Seriously? What the hell.

Watch Lambert's performance at the AMA here:

Verdict: I love the new hair, Scarlett! Always felt the short crop looks good on you. I admit Penelope was a tad bit matured and way too sensual for the brand. The replacement of Johansson felt like a breathe of fresh air. The tousled hair, animal prints and high heels - Scarlett has never looked sexier. I'm happy with the new choice. Johansson is the ideal urban woman, cosmopolitan and definitely not stick-thin. ;)

Penelope Cruz had a good season. We need some freshness, P. You're still hot though. Very, very hot.

Album Review: Rated R - Rihanna

Riri Pictures, Images and Photos

The wait is finally Ova. I was excited when I heard Rihanna was in the midst of recording a new album. Well, the only wise thing she could do after the Chris Brown saga, was to focus on her career.

Rated R takes on a more Gothic feel, extremely dark, showing a lot of skin (which isn't rare) and slightly trying a little too hard to 'grow up'.

While you wait let me dissect her latest album for you track by track.

Mad House - A lyric-less intro interlude. Very dark and sensual, sets the tone of the album for cohesiveness.

Wait your turn - A catchy track. I can totally imagine playing this track on a night road trip with my girls, blasting it out loud on your speakers. You'll find yourself bobbing your head to the catchy line, "The wait is over, the wait is over.."

Hard ft Jeezy - A usual R&B number. We'll be hearing a lot of this in the clubs.

Stupid in love - Hmm, I wonder who this one’s about? *giggles* Finger snapping groove. Pretty much Mid-tempo. First verse, she goes “Don’t treat me like I’m stupid”. 2nd verse something about her being an idiot. Her friends have told her he is not one. 3rd verse, she talks about him “actin’ like a jerk”. Something about a “dunce cap”. Hook goes: “I may be young but I’m not stupid. I’m not stupid in love”. It's hard not to like the track.

Rockstar 101 - Possibly my favourite track on the album. Features Slash on guitar. Full of attitude. Watch out for this track with Riri on full swag mode. Only thing she's missing is a black guitar.

Russian Roulette - The album's first single. Played widely all over national radio, very dark but gets a little boring towards bridge.. Not something I'd play over and over again.

Fire Bomb - Heavy use of cars as metaphors. One of her lines go,
“Lovers need to clear the road” and “where we’re goin’ we don’t need no breaks”. Has more of a rock element that Rockstar, rather boring, nothing impressive.

Rude Boy - On this track, Rihanna brings on a hell lot of fun, extremely sexy. She's out looking for a new man who could 'take it, take it'. Boys would blush to hear her say, “Giddy up. Give it to me baby. Give it to me harder. Buckle up.” That's the Riri we like - having the time of her life, having fun.

Photographs ft Will.i.am - Great track going with Will.i.am. Pumped up with Will.i.am's usual grooves and Riri's haunting vocals singing about a bad heartbreak. "All I've got is nothing without you" she sang repeatedly, was strangely quite smooth. Hard to not wonder if she's missing that particular someone.. hmm. When the drums kick in 2nd verse with the familiar BEP style. Will’s vocals come in on bridge adding a little male perspective on the matter.

G4L - Stands for "Gangsta for Life", couldn't tell until very much later. Feels like a part 2 to Jay-z's 'Run this town' which she was part of. Pretty much a dramatic track taking about guns in the air, bitches and m*therfu*kers. Fierce la this girl.

Te Amo - I guess this is considered one of her 'ballad' tracks? Cheesy. "Don't let love hurt you", a wise woman warns her. Think she's talking about Oprah.

Cold case love - A collaboration with Justin Timberlake. Once again it sets listeners thinking who's she singing about, "What you did to me was a crime". She's obviously very hurt in this track. At the chorus, "We opened up a cold case love, And It got the best of us, And Now prints, pictures & white outlines, Are all that's left at the scene of a crime of a cold case love.." Very well written lyrics but a tad bit slow for my liking.

The Last Song - Final track to the song, not exactly a great way to end the album. Felt like it was missing something, like ending it off too abruptly. And her singing "The last song" on repeat was kind of annoying.

Verdict - I generally enjoyed the album. The lack of cheesy, lovey dovey ballads was unlike her but it's an interesting take to the record. Riri was also a potty mouth in this record, much use of the F word in many tracks. Though there's one thing I don't understand - if the album was to divert people's attention away from her boyfriend saga, then why most of the songs are talking about her jerk of a boyfriend? Well on the a good note, I feel Riri is finally growing up (although she's trying a little hard to prove that point) and evolving into someone new.

Worthy tracks: Rockstar 101, Rude boy, Photographs, Cold case love.

With A-lists producers helping her through this record, I say, it was a good wait.

Movie Picks: This is it

Photobucket

I told a friend of mine last week that I booked tickets to Michael Jackson's documentary movie "This is it" because it is only going to be screened for 2 weeks.

His replied was, "Haha, that guy just doesn't die ain't it?"

Truth be told, I think MJ will continue to live on forever in our minds, ears, and hearts.

There isn't much to tell you about the movie because they're just clips captured during MJ's London concert rehearsals. He was so energetic, he was hands on throughout production and was truly excited about the show. What is so bizarre about his death is - how could it happen? How could such an energetic and enthusiastic person die so suddenly just before the concert?

Michael Jackson is such an icon, people judge him, people label him.. people love and hate him.. I guess this is what they mean by "It is lonely on top".

I grew up listening to his hits. I was never really a fan. I enjoyed a couple of his tracks and find him a joy to watch on TV when I was little. As I grew older and new generation of pop stars take over the scene, MJ's still talked about but only in the bad light. The media talked about his lifestyle, his spendthrift shopping habits, his impossible skin and face, his everything, his life.. People just couldn't stop judging him but he still remained as the King of Pop, as the idol of many.

After his death, I paid more attention to his music and music videos. I'm sure there are many others who only started to listen more to his music after his death, though that is a shame on us. I discovered that not only is he a true performer, he is also a genius. I am convinced why so many people out there made him their idol because he is truly original and unique. You can never find someone so special else where. His passion for music deserves more than just respect. I can watch any of his videos at any time and still feel awed by his talent and originality.

I believe even after 50 years, MJ will still be talked about. His good and his bad. The media and press will still be writing about his achievements and his wacko moments. He will be living amongst our memories. His death is not the end of his legacy. It is only the beginning.

Michael Jackson, you'll always be remembered and loved.
For all the wonderful memories you created and left behind, Thank You.

Fashion: Booties

Recently, I finally bought my first pair of Booties. Nothing too fancy, something black (haha, as usual) and may I quote my bestfriend, "with a hell load of holes. :D

I'm not adventurous with my choice of shoes but that pair's so comfortable and yes, it was calling for me. I don't know what is it about women and shoes - you don't find them, they find you. And allow me to humbly comment, it's like love.

Booties are so hot this season. You see it on almost every runway. Why? Because they can be worn for any season! But the best part about them is that they're so easy to wear, because their streamlined design means you could pair them with everything from jeans to skirts and pants to dresses.

They've got the ones with open toes, with bows, in suede and even in lace. Absolutely sexy. But of course, we're spoilt for choice. There are actually no tips on how to wear them. You can't possibly wear them wrong. Well, just be careful with one thing - Girls who are vertically challenged, like yours truly, you need to make sure you don't wear them with outfits that shorten your legs or look stubby. Go with jeans or a mini skirt. You can never go wrong with that combination.

Anyway, before I turn in for the night, here are some booties for you girls to lust on....

Movie Picks: My Sister's Keeper

My Sister's Keeper Pictures, Images and Photos

"You don't love someone because they're perfect. You love them in spite of the fact that they're not." - Jodi Picoult, My Sister's Keeper.

I remember when I first read the book, I knew from the first few pages, I was going to feel extremely sad about life and it was almost definite that I'd cry; which was why I walked into the theatre prepared with kleenex.

Anyway, the plot in a nutshell: Anna Ftizgerald was born to save her sister, Kate's life. Kate was diagnose with Leukemia, a very rare cancer disease and the doctor decided that maybe if her parents gave birth to another sibling, Kate might have a chance to live. This was how Anna came about. After 11 years, Anna decided that she couldn't do it anymore (trust me, there were complications...), so she filed for medical emancipation against her parents.

I've read reviews and saw clips of the movie before watching it. And also read an interview 8days did with Cameron Diaz last week. (She looks amazing on the cover, btw!) And I must comment, for once, Diaz is not making you laugh. She is making you cry. She must have not slept for days for the show to get those crazy eye bags!

Sorry, I digress. In the interview, Cameron made a very interesting statement which even myself couldn't have agreed more, "I think that we're all warriors. The passion that we have is the thing that feeds our ability to be a warrior." It is true. Too darn true. Everyone in the Fitzgerald family is constantly fighting. Fight against their fears. Fear of losing someone close, fear of death, fear of giving up... But being as a family, they've learned to sacrifice for one another to keep the family from falling apart. They're warriors. True warriors.

Sofia Vassilieva, who acted as sickly Kate, is an upcoming rising star. She does not possess sweet, cute looks but she has a certain charm in her that makes her shine throughout the movie. I look forward to her future gigs. Abigail Breslin is as usual, being at her best in every film she decides to partake. From "Little Miss Sunshine", "Definitely Maybe", to "No Reservation", Breslin is a young starlet I find hard to resist. She's like an adult trapped in a young child's body and at the same time looking as cute as a button.

Of course, the Movie is nothing like the book because the book is 100 times sadder. But at least the movie followed very closely to the book without changing much details. Readers who enjoyed the book will most likely enjoy the movie. I'm not going to spoil it for you because I want you to watch it and tell me how you feel about it.

The movie is definitely not a feel-good movie. I teared so much, I feel embarrassed. However, go watch the movie and you'll realize how blessed you are sitting right where you are munching on that popcorn where there are many other people who's suffering and wondering when's their last day of sunshine. Oh yeah, bring your kleenex, you will need them.

Goodnight.

Girls and Shopping *beams!*

.. I know, right?

Photobucket

Haha, I get very excited when I see an interesting article.

Read it here: http://timothytiah.blogspot.com/2009/10/how-to-follow-your-gf-shopping.html

Yes, you're reading it right. This is a Men's guide to shopping with their girlfriends! I find it absurdly interesting because do men really need such a guide? Is shopping with your girlfriends such a pain you actually need a 'Dummies guide' to get yourself through it? Ha, interesting. Very much.

Here's my take on shopping with your girlfriends, fellas. So listen up.

Trust me, you don't need a guide or steps to please your girl. Just understand this very important point: Girls look good for boys. Your girlfriend wants to look good for you. She can have 10001 excuses to buy a new pair of shoes, a new bag or a new dress.. but ultimately, she WANTS you to think she looks good enough for you. Yes boys, it is that simple.

If you try to go through the process with a almost-bitter smile, giving not-even-trying comments like - 'Yeah, it's nice", you're not going to make it out alive. This is how a girl's mind work: If you don't care, she gets upset at you for not caring because she feels she's doing all of these for you. She wouldn't want to put you through this torture, but she feels because she's doing it all for you, you should have a say! So, practice to have a say, have an opinion. We don't see you having a problem with opinions about the latest hike in petrol prices, crap food they serve in the hawkers near your place..

If you can comment on how tight an ass this hot babe in a short mini skirt who just walked by, I'm sure you can afford to give your 2 cents on how your girlfriend look in that dress. Or even 1 cent.

I'll probably be writing about booties in my next update. Maybe tonight!

Have a good weekend!

PS: LC made me say he's has master the art of shopping with women. Girls, what are you waiting for?

Music: Chris Brown - Crawl

Yes, I'm home on a friday night (again), blogging.

I don't know if it's pure coincidence that both Riri and Chris Brown released their new singles for their upcoming albums at the same time but it sure is amusing. Like the both of them are trying to say something.

Chris Brown's latest single, "Crawl", is his usual ballad number. Sounds a little bit like 'No Air' (duet with Jordin Sparks) to me. Sounds a little desperate to me too. No doubt his vocal adlibs at the end was pretty good but still, nay.. Chris Brown's gotta try a little harder to get anymore brownie points from me. The score board right now says a -10000000000.

I'm looking forward to his new album, though I can almost imagine most of his ballads will be trying to tell his fans how apologetic he is about the whole situation.. blah blah blah..

Music: Rihanna, The wait is Ova

Riri surprises me, over and over.

First, she cut off her long hair to a short pixie crop. Next, she allowed boyfriend Chris Brown to hit her, sued him and then forgave him. This time round, her latest single, "Russian Roulette" exudes a dark and depressing vibe (looks a little SM to me too..). Well, we all know how Russian Roulette is played. Somebody gets hurt, somebody dies...

Photobucket

I'm a little excited for her brand new album, "The Wait is Ova". C'mon, Riri, why are we waaaaiting?

ANGRY ANGRY ANGRY

.. Really I am.

Few things I've done terribly wrong this week:

1. Bought my mom an mp3 for her 51st birthday
2. Bought my mom an mp3 knowing she wouldn't know how to fucking use it
3. Bought my mom an mp3 knowing I'd be the one to help her put songs in
4. Bought my mom an mp3, ripping 1 of her CDs, and now the CD's stuck in my new MAC

Oh baby, I'm so sorry. :(
I will bring you to Dr. Azhar tomorrow and he will fix you, ok?

Dear Mom,

You've done it this time! I'm finding it hard to forgive you!
I'm going to throw a bitch fit if my baby doesn't get that metal out of her body!

Your daughter.

Upcoming Movies: New york, I love you

Photobucket

There are so many great movies coming this fall. And I personally can't wait for this one.

:)

Movie Picks: Julie & Julia

It was a last minute decision, Lala and I decided to go a late night Movie (Sarah joined us too). Lala get to pick the venue and I get to pick the Movie. My mind was fixed on watching "Julie & Julia".

Photobucket

Right after Devil's wear Prada, Meryl Streep still surprises me every time I see her on the big screen. She never fails to make her audience laugh, cry and think. This time as Julia, Streep is a huge bundle of joy. I know, I know - it is hard to imagine her that way but she totally is. She was extremely theatrical in this one, it was a little hard to watch at the beginning because she was laughing too much (and often) and so easily excitable - hardly even how I imagined her to be; but as we watched on, she becomes so irritatingly adorable.. she grows on you. And without surprises, Streep has outdone herself. Again.

Both Streep and Adams were 2 women in different times and place, sharing many similarities they're facing in their lives. They both needed something to do. Though, Adams being in a more recent era, needed something to do with her mundane and almost failing life. Both started a regime with cooking. Cooking opened up both their eyes and heart to things they could have never encountered. Like what they said, "The first step is always difficult".

However both of them were fearless women with so much determination to make it happen. And they did.

Like most things, we all need courage (a lot of it, in fact) to make something that seemed impossible to master, happen. So, with a little love, faith and some imagination, anything is possible. I enjoyed how I was so engaged in both their lives (felt like I was time-traveling every 5 minutes!) and feasting my eyes with french delicacies. Sometimes the movies just make everything seem so easy.

I say, follow your heart... Make the best out of your life. Bon appétit!

You probably won't see this and I can't afford to get you a Scottish fold, but I wish you success in everything you do. You're destined for greatness. It's only once a year I'll throw you an awesome compliment, so accept it graciously.

Good night, people. Will write when I have something good in mind.

how I long for you to sing beneath the clear blue skies

I love rerun of old movies! But anyway, right now Channel 5 is screening Runaway bride starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.

I remembered back then when I watched it on DVD, I enjoyed it so much although I know it's not a sequeal to Pretty Woman but it's still great. It got me thinking, you know, marriage is such.. a big thing. It's such a big thing to a man, it's an even bigger thing to a woman. It has to be perfect. It doesnt have to be with the perfect person, but the wedding has. to. be. perfect.

I loved the part where Maggie (Roberts) was anxiously thinking if Graham would run away instead of her, how she constantly reminded herself about the wedding.. how she really can do this on her own. But she still couldn't anyway. Sometimes you're just scared. You're just afraid to do the right thing.

Maggie Carpenter: I love you, Homer Eisenhower Graham.
Will you marry me?
Ike Graham: I... I've got to think about this a little bit.
Maggie Carpenter: Good. I was hoping you'd say that.
Ike Graham: [laughing] You were not!
Maggie Carpenter: I was, because if you said "yes" right away, then I wouldn't get to say this next part, and I've been practicing. [Maggie sits down, clears her throat]
Maggie Carpenter: Ready?
Ike Graham: I'm listening.
Maggie Carpenter: I guarantee there'll be tough times. I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us is going to want get out. But I also guarantee... [starts to cry]
Maggie Carpenter: ...that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life. Because I know in my heart... you're the only one for me.

At my future wedding, I know I'd be happy and scared at the same time. And I know sometimes I run away from things because I'm messed up. But I hope, the person I'll be marrying would love me for me and want to be with me for the rest of his life.. and of course, love all my bestfriends, be ok with them sleeping over sometimes, we'll probably be talking till 3am.. But I can be very sure, I won't run away unless you're running away with me.

You make my heart beat double time

My experience with our latest tourist attraction.. ION, has been pretty fruitful, though I'm not so great with huge, huge places.

I've to mention the queue down at ION ORCHARD FOOD HALL (in B4) is.. insane. I've added 'Conquering all the Food Stalls at ION ORCHARD' onto my To-Do list.

Tsukiji Gindaco (#B4-64)

If you love Takoyaki, you'll LOVE LOVE this. In any case you don't know what does Takoyaki stands for, it's octopus balls. You see this in malls, at Pasar Malams, Singaporeans queue for it! Because it's such great comfort food. It's crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. Yum.

This stall at ION ORCHARD, just tastes different from the usual takoyaki balls you get else where. Before I explain further why, I've to tell you how amazed I was with the people frying em' balls! They're like a freaking... takoyaki machine! They're so quick and at some point, rhythmic!

But anyway, here's my check list for the balls I bought ;]

1. Crispy on the outside - CHECK! (I've to special mention this though, I don't know if you've get the experience of eating takoyaki balls and it's soft inside out in most places? Sometimes it could be because they've got so many orders, they don't make sure it's crispy on the outside? But rest assured, you'll get your balls perfectly crispy on the outside for this one. Hee.)
2. Soft and hot (NOT WARM) on the inside - CHECK!
3. No funny smell from Mayo sauce - CHECK!

It comes in a good portion of 6 pieces for $4.80, you can get a set for 1 for $6, that comes with a drink or icecream.

I've a feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night

UP

You can always trust Pixar to come up with something good, each time they deliver. The short wordless prelude to the movie about how Carl and Ellie fell in love, got married, keep the house, had a miscarriage and till Ellie had her last breath, you can't help but feel the pain of lost the same way Carl did.

The adventure of Russel, Carl, Doug and Kevin (the sniper) brought us all on an adventure like never before. I admire Russel's Never-say-die Attitude as a Wilderness Scout, he reminded me how we lost this childliked-ness along the way while growing up.

I laughed and I cried. I don't remember when was the last time I felt this good stepping out of the Theatre.

Go watch it if you haven't. It's out this week!

Nicole Richie's pea in the poo

Ok yes, hey guys I'm back blogging. Or at least I try to when I've free time. But don't count on it! Really.

So anyway, fresh from Nicole Richie's Twitter (follow her! she posts cute pictures of her baby girl Harlow!), Richie's new Maternity Line for A Pea in the Poo, is shaking away from all the bad light to Super Hot Mama! I adore the bohemian-themed outfits! They look so chic and wearable. Whoever said you can't look fab with a baby hidden under your tummy?

Look at the prints? I think this shade of green would look great on any skin color. I mean, look at the details. It's no longer boring and conventional. No frills or bib looking collars. Just prints and more prints. Being pregnant herself, Nicole commented that when you're pregnant, you feel like you need to revamp your whole wardrobe and that's the last thing a woman would want to go through. Her designs are catered to make pregnant women feel excited about dressing up, look good and at the same time be confident about their body.

You notice how her designs are never too loud or understated? And can I mention again how comfy it looks to me?

Looks like, Marriage has really done Nicole Richie some good. Look at all the weight she gained back after pregnancy! She looks great and healthy. This is where I believe Love help change someone, for the better.

Alright, I'm off to bed now.
Speak soon. xx
